Huge commercial trucks termed “big rigs,” predominate American highways. It is also known as a big rig, 18-wheeler, tractor-trailer, and semi-trailer.

Some of the deadliest collisions on American highways and roads involve massive trucks. Given the immense size difference between tractor-trailers and passenger automobiles, significant rig accidents commonly result in a higher death toll.

The factors involved in 18-wheeler accidents need to be considered. Severe truck accidents are usually caused by tire blowouts, incapacitating or non-capacitating vehicle difficulties, excessive speed, lane drifting, and inappropriate truck maneuvering.
