[12-25-2023] Los Angeles County, CA – At Least One Person Killed, Two Juveniles Hospitalized Following Big Rig Crash in Lancaster

At least one person was killed, and two juveniles were hospitalized after a big rig crash in Lancaster on Monday night, December 25, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash occurred before 6:00 p.m. on Challenger Way at Avenue E.

A big rig that was hauling coffee reportedly hit the Kia Sorento, which was blocking the roadway due to a previous crash.

Two juvenile victims were airlifted to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles in moderate condition. There were three adults who were treated at the scene for injuries.

A witness reported that authorities performed CPR on one of the victims. One adult was transported by ground ambulance to Antelope Valley Hospital in critical condition but later died.

Authorities are gathering all the necessary information to determine what led to the incident. Further details about the fatal crash are unavailable at this time.
