[10-18-2022] Pedestrian Severely Injured After Being Struck by Vehicle on San Diego RoadAccording to the San Diego Police Department, a 28-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries when struck by a vehicle near the Rolando Park area of San Diego on Tuesday, October 18, 2022.

The pedestrian was struck at around 7:00 a.m. while crossing University Avenue near the Rolando Park area of San Diego.

When the victim was beginning to make his way across University Avenue in a marked crosswalk, he was hit by a white Chevrolet Silverado heading south on 58th Street.

According to the police, the driver, a male who was 31-years-old, stayed at the scene and called the authorities.

The victim was rushed to the hospital in critical condition with a subdural brain injury, a lung contusion, an injury to the spleen, and injuries to the hip, pelvis, and femur.

The Traffic Division of the San Diego Police Department is being looked into the incident.
