[10-01-2022] 22-Year-Old Pedestrian Killed in Hit-And-Run Collision in WestlakeAccording to the authorities, a pickup truck driver struck and badly injured a 22-year-old woman crossing a street in the Westlake area on October 1, 2022.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the crash occurred at about 9:50 a.m. on Eighth and Carondelet streets.

According to the police report, “a dark colored, possibly gray Toyota Tacoma” was heading west on Eighth Street when it collided with the pedestrian, knocking him to the ground.

There was no time for the driver to stop and identify themselves before they took off. The woman was taken by paramedics to the hospital with “severe injuries,” according to the police.

The police have released photos taken from surveillance cameras of the hit-and-run vehicle and are asking anyone with information to contact Detective Juan Campos at 213-833-3713 or 31480@lapd.online.
