The CHP website states that both lanes were reopened around 4 a.m.
Authorities did not disclose how many injuries were involved.
Big Rig Accident Statistics
The enormous tractor-trailers and semis we frequently share the road with are known as “big rigs.” can be used either of these terms to describe trucks used for business.
Tractor-trailer collisions result in shockingly high numbers of fatalities when compared to crashes involving other types of vehicles. This is mainly due to the enormous size of semi-trucks and other big rigs. More space is required to stop a semi-trailer from hauling a heavy load.
One person is killed in a truck-related accident in the US every 15 minutes. In America, transportation-related accidents claim the lives of nearly 500,000 people annually, including 5,000 truck drivers.
Truck accidents cause roughly 113 fatalities and close to 3,000 injuries each year in California. Between 200 and 300 people in the Golden State are killed annually in truck accidents. Between 2009 and 2015, the most recent year for which data are available, there were a record number of fatalities attributed to semi-truck accidents. In 2015, a tractor-trailer collision caused one in ten deaths on American roads.
When pursuing a large truck moving less than 40 mph, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration advises leaving 4 seconds between vehicles. A second must be added when driving at a speed greater than forty miles per hour.
Internal Wounds
It’s possible that you won’t fully understand the scope of your wounds until you return home from the hospital. Often, an internal injury can only be diagnosed by a medical professional. It’s possible that internal bleeding is the cause. You might not realize you’re bleeding until it’s too late if a doctor isn’t checking your blood pressure.
