[11-03-2022] Fresno County, CA – 4-Year-Old Hospitalized After Being Struck by Vehicle in Downtown Fresno

The local authority of Fresno reported that a 4-year-old child was struck by a car on the edge of downtown Fresno on Thursday evening, November 03, 2022.

According to the authorities, the crash occurred at 5:30 p.m. near Thesta Street and Thomas Avenue intersection.

The 4-year-old was riding with a family when the child got out of the car and ran into the street.

A second vehicle, which was moving westbound, started to brake but could not stop entirely, so it ran into the kid.

The child was taken to Fresno Community Regional Medical Center, although the injuries were not considered life-threatening.

Police say the driver pulled over and cooperated with them. Alcohol and drugs did not appear to be factors in the occurrence.

The authorities are conducting further investigation.
