Two people were injured following a two-vehicle collision in Yucca Valley on Thursday evening, November 24, 2022.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the crash occurred around 6:20 p.m. at the Buena Vista Drive and Avalon Avenue intersection.
The crash reportedly involved Melanie S. driving a white Honda Fit colliding with Jacqueline B. driving a grey Nissan Maxima.
The Honda landed in Buena Vista’s eastbound lane after rolling onto its passenger side, while the Nissan came to rest in a nearby house’s driveway after rolling over a stop sign.
Both drivers sustained injuries, despite being securely buckled up in their cars. The Honda driver was taken to Palm Springs Desert Regional Medical Center, while the Nissan driver was taken to Joshua Tree Hi-Desert Medical Center.
As the investigation by the authorities continued, neither alcohol nor drugs seemed to have contributed to the crash.
Call the Morongo Basin Station of the County Sheriff if you have any information on the collision.
