[12-05-2022] Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck by Vehicle Near AshlanOne person was killed after a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in Fresno Monday night, December 5, 2022.

Police officials confirmed that the crash transpired around 5:45 p.m. near Ashlan and Blythe, close to Noble Credit Union Bank.

Reports state that the man was struck as the car traveled west on Ashlan.

The driver did not notice the victim until their vehicle ran into him.

Before units arrived, an off-duty nurse attempted CPR, but the man was pronounced dead on the scene.

Authorities spoke with witnesses who were unsure whether the pedestrian was jaywalking.

The vehicle’s driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

It is not suspected that either drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
