[08-09-2022] San Bernardino County, CA - 59-year-old Man Dies After a Fatal Hit-and-Run Accident in AdelantoA 59-year-old man, Marty S., was killed after a hit-and-run accident in Adelanto on Saturday evening.

The accident happened around 10:21 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 395 and Cactus Road.

According to the local authorities, Sparling was struck by a 2008 Lincoln Navigator while he was riding his bicycle across Highway 395.

They took Sparling to a nearby hospital, where he eventually passed away.

The driver of a Lincoln Navigator departed the scene and was identified as Erika R.A., a 38-year-old Adelanto resident.

A California license plate left at the scene allowed deputies to locate the car.

Later, they discovered the Lincoln Navigator nine miles south of the collision at the Pilot Travel Center in Hesperia, which was seen between Highway 395 and Interstate 15.

The inquiry is still ongoing. According to sheriff’s officials, Romero-Aguilar’s picture has also been made public.

The Sheriff’s Department requests that anyone with information about her whereabouts call Deputy Torres at the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station at 760-552-6800.
