[08-06-2022] Orange County, CA - Three People Injured in Fiery Two-Vehicle Crash in Huntington BeachMultiple injuries were reported in a fiery traffic collision in Huntington Beach on Saturday, August 6, 2022.

The crash occurred around 5:15 a.m. in a neighborhood close to Atlanta Avenue and Newland Street.

The driver sped away when the officer attempted to pull the car over, starting a brief pursuit.

Finally, the driver ran a red light and hit another vehicle.

The suspect’s vehicle caught fire and was completely consumed by it.

The driver and another passenger were taken into custody by police, who then transported them to a nearby hospital with minor wounds. A passenger in the hit car also suffered minor wounds.

Police discovered numerous damaged catalytic converters in addition to a saw and numerous brand-new and used blades while searching that vehicle.

Both suspects were lodged in the Huntington Beach City Jail on felony charges following clearance from their doctors.

Tyrece S., 22, of Long Beach, and Yonathan A., 18, both of Norwalk, were named as the suspects.
