[08-13-2022] Napa County, CA - 60-Year-Old Woman Dead and Multiple Injured in Fatal Multi-Vehicle Collision on Northbound Highway 29According to the Napa Police Department, one person is dead, and another is injured following a two-vehicle crash in Napa just before midnight on Saturday, August 13, 2022.

The crash occurred at 11:33 p.m. and prompted all northbound lanes of Highway 29.

According to California Highway Patrol, one of the passengers, a 60-year-old woman, was airlifted from the scene and brought to a nearby hospital.

The collision involved five vehicles. Two drivers and two passengers were taken to a hospital in Vacaville, while one driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Two additional drivers involved in the incident were unharmed.

According to the initial investigation, one vehicle was using the northbound side of Highway 29 to travel south.

The vehicle was traveling the wrong way and collided with four different northbound cars. After being called to the scene, the Traffic Reconstruction Team of NPD took charge of the investigation.
