An 18-year-old teenager was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident in Tulare County on Tuesday morning, August 9, 2022.
The collision occurred around 4:00 a.m. on Highway 198 at Road 182, located just east of Visalia.
According to the California Highway Patrol, an 18-year-old man was standing in the fast lane, and a 51-year-old Visalia woman was operating the vehicle.
He was struck and declared dead at the scene.
The victim has not yet been identified.
The collision caused the driver to sustain minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
