A 51-year-old Lompoc woman was seriously injured after a hit-and-run crash in the parking lot of the 99 Cent Store on Monday night, August 09, 2022.
The unidentified woman was walking around 7:00 p.m. in the center’s parking lot in the 1300 block of North H Street when she was hit by a car.
According to Lompoc police officials, one witness claimed that the vehicle knocked the victim to the ground before running over her.
The victim suffered chest and leg injuries and was airlifted by CalSTAR to Cottage Hospital.
She had a serious but stable condition as of Tuesday.
Police discovered during the investigation that the driver of the allegedly hit-and-run vehicle was 68-year-old Alice Mary B. of Lompoc.
Brown was not driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs when the accident happened.
Brown was taken into custody by the Santa Barbara County Jail after being charged with felony hit-and-run.
