[08-16-2022] Alameda County, CA - Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash in Newark Kills One PersonThe California Highway Patrol reported that one person died as a result of a fatal collision on Highway 84 in Newark on Tuesday night, August 16.

The collision was reported at 9:09 p.m. just east of the Newark Boulevard on-ramp on eastbound 84.

According to the CHP, when officers arrived, they found the scene of an accident involving at least two vehicles and serious injuries.

One person was declared dead at the scene.

The conditions of the other injured people weren’t immediately known.

The crash remains under investigation.
