A teenage girl is in custody following an alleged intentional collision with a Sheriff’s vehicle at Canyon High School on Friday night, October 7, 2022.
The crash occurred around 9:15 p.m. at Canyon High School on Nadal Street in Canyon Country.
According to Sgt. Clark of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, a teenage girl deliberately struck a sheriff’s car at Canyon High School.
According to Deputy Garrett Rifkin of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, another unit picked up the involved vehicle, a brief pursuit was initiated, and the suspect was apprehended in Canyon Country.
The sheriff’s department representatives stated that the deputy did not sustain any serious injuries.
According to Clark, the suspect, whose exact age and identity are being withheld, was detained for felony assault on a peace officer and was still in custody as of Saturday morning.
