According to the California Highway Patrol, it was reported that heavy traffic was caused due to an overturned big rig carrying a whole load of cans of oil and grease across Interstate 10 in Ontario Friday morning, October 7, 2022.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash transpired at about 7:09 a.m. on eastbound Interstate 10 just east of the I-15 freeway. The four of five lanes were blocked for hours.
A detached trailer section flipped over on the freeway. The number of casualties from the collision was not immediately made public.
The semi-truck driver was taken to Kaiser Hospital via ground ambulance in unknown condition; he was later arrested for allegedly driving a stolen semi.
Police called for a SIG Alert and Caltrans to remove about a thousand gallons of oil and grease from the road.
After three hours, the highway opened to traffic. The investigation into the crash’s cause continues.
