[10-15-2022] San Diego County, CA – Two People Injured After Truck Crashes in Oak Park

According to the officials, a driver and a passenger were severely injured after their vehicle struck a light pole in Oak Park Saturday, October 15, 2022.

According to San Diego police Officer Robert Heims, the crash happened at about 5:00 p.m. in the 5800 block of College Grove Drive.

Heims said that a woman was driving the charcoal-gray 2002 Chevrolet Silverado pickup when, for unknown reasons, she turned to the right, hit the south curb, and then crashed into a light pole.

He said that after the crash, one of the two people in the truck got out and ran away. A 39-year-old man riding in the truck broke his right knee and popped his left hip out of place.

Heims said, “The driver had an open fracture in his right ankle and was bleeding inside.” “Her injuries are so bad that they could kill her. Someone said that the car she was driving was stolen.”

The reason for the crash is still being looked into.
