[10-17-2022] One Fatality After a Pedestrian Accident in El MonteAn unidentified person was hit and died after a pedestrian accident involving a car on the 10 freeway in El Monte on Monday, October 17, 2022.

The crash transpired around 4:03 a.m. at Cogswell Road and the westbound San Bernardino Freeway, according to CHP Officer Elizabeth Kravig.

According to Kravig, one person was declared dead at the scene.

The CHP issued a SigAlert for closing lanes 3 and 4 in the westbound direction.

Early morning, the lanes were reopened around 7:30 a.m.
