[10-18-2022] Two-Vehicle Collision Killed One and Three Injured on Hemet RoadAccording to the authorities, a two-vehicle collision resulted in the death of a 39-year-old man near downtown Hemet Tuesday, October 18, 2022.

According to the Hemet Police Department, the collision occurred at about 3:15 p.m. on Warren Road just north of Stetson Avenue.

The person that was killed was identified as Angel R. of San Jacinto. It was reported that the vehicle’s driver lost control and veered into oncoming traffic.

According to Lieutenant Eric Dickson, Rodela was riding a shotgun in a Nissan sedan traveling south on Warren at about fifty miles per hour when the driver, who had not been identified, lost control and drove onto the shoulder.

Dickson explained that the Nissan’s driver had overcorrected to regain control, causing the car to skid in a southeasterly direction and cross over into the northbound lane of Warren.

The lieutenant said the sedan swerved into the path of a Toyota SUV that was going about the same speed.

He explained that the Toyota driver had been unable to avoid a collision with the Nissan’s passenger side.

All three people inside the car and the unnamed driver of the SUV suffered injuries in the collision.

On the spot, paramedics from the Hemet Fire Department pronounced Rodela dead.

According to Dickson, the victims were transported to a local trauma center for emergency care.

It’s anticipated that the victims will make full recoveries. According to Dickson, drugs and alcohol did not play a role in the accident.

As the investigation continued, anyone with information was asked to call the police at 951-765-2400.
