[10-19-2022] Pedestrian Balloon Street Vendor Killed After Being Struck by Vehicle in PalmdaleAccording to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, a street vendor selling balloons was hit by a car, taken to the hospital, and pronounced dead in Palmdale in LA, Wednesday night, October 19, 2022.

As per Los Angeles County Fire Department, the crash transpired at 9:15 p.m. at 25th Street East and Avenue S in Palmdale.

Deputies and firefighters discovered that a car had driven onto the sidewalk and into some bushes, trapping a person inside.

Witnesses called 911 to report that a pedestrian who had been hit by a car was still in the bushes.

It turned out that someone had been hit by the speeding car after all. Witnesses identified the victim as a young male street vendor selling balloons in the Hispanic community.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where his death was confirmed. He has not been named yet because his family has not been notified.

It took some time to determine the status of the person stuck in the car.

The investigation into the crash’s cause continues.
