[10-22-2022] Tulare County, CA – One Officer Dragged by Intoxicated 17-Year-Old in Porterville

According to the Porterville Police Department, a teen who was suspected of DUI was detained after dragging an officer during a traffic stop in Porterville on Saturday, October 22, 2022.

The accident occurred around 12:20 a.m. in the vicinity of Orange Avenue and Jaye Street.

According to reports, an officer saw a 17-year-old driver who appeared to be under the influence.

Investigators claim that while the officer was attempting to apprehend the teen, who is not being named due to their age, they hit the gas pedal after pulling over the car.

According to police, the teen eventually dragged the officer a short distance from their car.
