Single-Vehicle Crash Statistics

In California, more than a thousand people are killed annually in single-vehicle accidents. According to data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, single-car accidents account for 62% of all fatalities in the Golden State. Because of the high risk of accidents on California roads, drivers should always be vigilant.

A wide variety of factors can cause single-vehicle accidents. Careless driving on a wet road can cause a vehicle to skid off the road or even go airborne. There might be a large piece of debris on the beach, like a tree limb or a portion of furniture. Potentially dangerous driving conditions may worsen as a result.

Even if the other driver was negligent, your insurance policy’s single-vehicle accident coverage might make it difficult, if not impossible, to collect damages.
