[10-29-2022] San Diego County, CA - Two People Dead, Five Taken to Hospital in Two-Vehicle Collision on Mission BeachAccording to the San Diego Police Department, two people died, and five more were injured in a two-vehicle head-on collision in Mission Beach on Saturday, October 29, 2022.

According to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department, the two-vehicle collision transpired at 3:09 p.m. at 2990 Mission Boulevard near San Fernando Place.

According to a San Diego Police Department report, a Ford EcoSport collided with a northbound Kia Sportage because the Ford was traveling in the wrong direction on the boulevard.

According to the police, both men driving the cars involved in the accident—a 62-year-old in the Ford and a 41-year-old in the Kia—died instantly.

Two Ford passengers and three Kia passengers had suffered various injuries and were taken to local hospitals.

A passenger in the Ford suffered internal chest bleeding, and an individual in the Kia was left with multiple injuries and is currently in critical condition.

The authorities report that the other three passengers suffered only minor injuries.

An investigation into the crash’s cause is ongoing. The police concluded alcohol played no role.
