According to the San Diego Police Department, the crash occurred early Sunday morning at 1100 blocks of Garnet Avenue in Pacific Beach.

When the collision occurred, the rider, who was 30 years old and riding a 2022 black Harley Davidson Street Glide, was heading eastbound on Garnet Avenue on his motorcycle. The pedestrian was heading northbound across the street.

According to a press release issued by San Diego Police, the pedestrian was taken to UCSD Hospital, and the motorcyclist was taken to Scripps Mercy Hospital to treat minor injuries after an accident.

The DUI was a factor in this collision, according to the San Diego police department.
