[11-02-2022] Fresno County, CA – Unidentified Pedestrian Man Killed After Being Struck by Vehicle in Fresno

According to the California Highway Patrol, a man carrying a gas canister back to his vehicle was critically injured when he was hit by a vehicle on a Fresno highway Wednesday, November 2, 2022.

As per officials, the collision occurred at about 8:40 a.m. at the interchange of northbound Highway 99 and eastbound 180.

Salas claims the victim ran into a Dodge truck’s path as he returned to his vehicle.

Major injuries necessitated transport, according to CHP.

Crews were on the scene for about an hour, but the transition reopened at 10 a.m., according to Caltrans.

The cause of the crash has yet to be determined.
