Fatal Car Accident Statistics

In California, the number of fatalities from single-vehicle accidents consistently exceeds one thousand every year.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration found that of all traffic fatalities in California, 62% resulted from accidents involving a single vehicle. This is really concerning. And therefore, California motorists need to keep their eyes peeled at all times so as not to miss any potential dangers.

When you’re the only one involved in an accident, you likely went off the road or hit something. These incidents are exacerbated by a multitude of conditions, such as bad weather, intoxicated or tired drivers, and obstructed views.

If only one vehicle was involved in the accident, your insurance policy’s coverage plan might severely limit your ability to recover damages even if the other driver was culpable.

For this reason, if you’ve been hurt in an accident of this kind, you should talk to a lawyer about what to do next.
