The Huntington Beach Police Department reported a 30-year-old man was killed after getting hit by an SUV in Huntington Beach on Monday morning, November 7, 2022.
According to the local police, officers were dispatched to the crash at 2:30 a.m. on Beach Boulevard north of Slater Avenue.
The preliminary inquiry stated that a 50-year-old man from Fountain Valley was traveling north on Beach Boulevard on a Jeep Compass when he struck the male pedestrian in the northbound lanes.
The pedestrian, a resident of Laguna Beach, passed away on the spot. His identity was kept until his family was informed.
The SUV driver stayed at the scene, reported the authorities. His identity was also kept private.
Upon investigation, it does not appear that drugs or alcohol played a part in the crash.
