[11-09-2022] Los Angeles County, CA – One Man Killed After Getting Hit by Vehicle in Downtown LA

The California Highway Patrol reported that a man was killed after getting struck by a vehicle near Downtown Los Angeles on Wednesday morning, November 9, 2022.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash that killed one pedestrian occurred at 3:40 a.m. on the southbound Santa Ana (101) Freeway near Alameda Street.

The officers said the man, who was in his 30s, passed away at the scene due to his injuries. He was not immediately identified.

There was no information regarding the driver of the vehicle that hit the pedestrian.

Two southbound lanes of the freeway were shut down as the authorities conducted their investigation.

It is being investigated whether alcohol and drugs played a role in the collision.
