[11-13-2022] Fresno County, CA – Pedestrian Accident in Shields and Milburn Avenue Injures One Man

The California Highway Patrol said a pedestrian was hospitalized after getting hit by a vehicle in Fresno on Sunday evening, November 13, 2022.

According to the CHP, officers were called to the crash before 7:00 p.m. on W. Shields and N. Milburn Ave in the Westside community.

The investigators revealed that a man in his 40s was walking along Shields Avenue’s eastbound lanes, just west of Blythe Avenue, when a Toyota Matrix hit him.

The driver stayed at the site while emergency personnel transported the pedestrian to the hospital for sustaining injuries.

The driver is helping with the inquiry, and there is no suspicion that he is under the influence of drink or drugs.

Whether the pedestrian was under the influence of alcohol or narcotics is unknown, according to officials.

The investigation into the crash continued.
