[11-19-2022] Driver Flees Scene After Hitting 9-Year-Old in VictorvilleA 9-year-old girl was severely injured after a hit-and-run collision in Victorville Saturday night, November 19, 2022.

The crash reportedly occurred around 5:45 p.m. between E Sand Street and Lorene Drive.

According to the child’s aunt, she took the nine-year-old girl and her two younger siblings across the street to order their dinner.

The young girl was struck while the four were waiting and standing in the middle turning lane.

The driver of a red car that had stopped at the scene picked up and carried the injured girl to her aunt.

The driver left the scene after telling the aunt he wasn’t the one who hit the child.

When responders arrived on the scene, they found the victim held by her aunt on the sidewalk.

The injured child was immediately flown to Loma Linda University Medical Center.

The crash is still under investigation.
