[11-26-2022] Merced County, CA – Pedestrian vs. SUV Left One Hospitalized in Atwater

One pedestrian was injured after being struck by an SUV in Atwater Saturday afternoon, November 26, 2022.

Authorities reported that the collision occurred around 5:53 p.m. on the 100 block of East Bellevue Road.

Reports state that the pedestrian was struck by a Dodge Durango driving west on East Bellevue Road.

When responders arrived at the scene, the unidentified pedestrian was found with a severe but non-life-threatening leg injury in the center median.

The victim was immediately transported to a hospital in the Modesto area for further treatment.

Authorities confirmed that alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
