A 63-year-old man was killed after getting struck by a vehicle in Walnut on Thursday morning, December 01, 2022.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the crash occurred around 7:30 a.m. in a campus parking lot at Mt. San Antonio College.
The victim, Ralph B., was a college employee working as a tram driver for students with disabilities. He was struck by the car on a walkway outside a bookstore with people around.
He was unconscious when the medical responders arrived and was then declared dead on the spot.
The crash, believed by the authorities to be done on purpose, was committed by James M., located at a bus stop not far away after the crash.
He was sent to a hospital for injuries before being detained on murder allegations.
