Two people were killed after their car collided with a big rig in Fresno near Sanger on Saturday afternoon, December 10, 2022.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash occurred at about 1:30 p.m. at the E. North Avenue and De Wolf Avenue intersection.
Responders arrived at the site to find a Freightliner Truck and a Nissan Altima involved in the collision.
The car driver, Ray R., a 24-year-old resident of Del Rey, reportedly pulled his car into the path of the semi.
He, along with his passenger, 24-year-old Ayala G. from Fresno, was declared dead at the site. The truck driver did not sustain any wounds.
Officers don’t think that drugs or alcohol were a part of the collision, but their investigation continued.
