Reports state that the driver of an F-250 drove into the east dirt shoulder, causing the vehicle to flip over.
The driver died at the scene, and a female passenger was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries.
Investigators said it is unknown if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the collision.
