[12-16-2022] Multi-Vehicle Collision in Silverado Kills One and Injures Three MoreAuthorities said one person was killed and three more were hospitalized in a multi-vehicle collision in Silverado on Friday afternoon, December 16, 2022.

According to the Orange County Fire Authority, the three-car crash occurred around 3:40 p.m. on Santiago Canyon Road, close to Limestone Spur and the Limestone Canyon Regional Park.

The first car was a Ferrari eastbound on Santiago Canyon that almost split in half after losing control and slamming into the other cars, an SUV and a severely damaged sedan.

It was not immediately clear which car the deceased was riding in, but one person was declared dead on the spot. Two more people were transported by ambulance, while a third was airlifted to a hospital.

As their investigation continued, the California Highway Patrol said speed was probably a contributing factor in the collision.
