[12-18-2022] San Diego County, CA – Passenger Dies After DUI Rollover Collision in Escondido

A DUI collision involving one vehicle led to a passenger being killed in Escondido early Sunday morning, December 18, 2022.

According to reports, the fatal crash happened around 12:54 a.m. on Interstate 15, south of Deer Springs Road.

Authorities state that 43-year-old Nicole C. was driving a silver Ford Fusion with a 45-year-old passenger when the vehicle lost control and flipped several times before landing on North Center City Parkway.

Paramedics rushed to the scene and pronounced that the passenger had succumbed to his injuries.

The female driver was rushed to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

She was detained and lodged in jail by officers from the Oceanside area office around 2:46 a.m.
