A 70-year-old woman, Barbara L. C., was killed after a fatal two-vehicle collision in Rialto on Sunday, August 21, 2022.
The accident happened around 2:47 p.m. at the Foothill Boulevard and Maple Avenue intersection.
According to Sgt. Chavez, Chavez’s Honda sedan, was struck by his SUV as it traveled south on Maple. Surgent of the Fontana Police Department.
Meanwhile, the SUV’s 47-year-old driver, Shannon Gene M., was detained on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence.
Instead of $250,000 bail, Milligan was held at the Rancho Cucamonga West Valley Detention Center.
According to the local authorities, Milligan only had a minor wound. His four passengers, ages 16 to 21, sustained no injuries.
Surgent reported that nobody else was in Chavez’s car.
