A 43-year-old man was reportedly hit by a driver who was allegedly under the influence of alcohol in southwest Santa Rosa early on Friday morning, August 26, 2022.
According to Officer David deRutte of the California Highway Patrol, officers were called at 4:40 a.m. to Sutton Place, west of Standish Avenue, for a vehicle-pedestrian crash on private property.
Upon their arrival, first responders discovered a 43-year-old Santa Rosa man who had been taken by ambulance to the Santa Rosa Memorial hospital with a serious injury.
According to deRutte, 31-year-old Cody R. of Santa Rosa was driving a 1990 BMW and displayed indicators of intoxication. He was detained on suspicion of a felony DUI and was later sent to jail.
