[08-30-2022] Stanislaus County, CA - 23-year-Old Michael L. Suffered Head Injuries in a Motorcycle Crash on Salida Boulevard23-year-old Michael L. from Modesto sustained major head injuries in a motorcycle collision with a pickup on Salida Boulevard on Tuesday night, August 30, 2022.

According to officer Ming Hsu of the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 7:44 p.m in the northbound lane, north of Pelandale Avenue, in front of the Del Taco.

19-year-old Alejandro C. was driving a Ford F-150 when he slowed to make a U-turn in the concrete median. Lowery was on a Harley-Davidson motorbike when he rear-ended the pickup.

Lowery, wearing a helmet, was rushed to a Modesto hospital with serious head injuries. His status was not yet disclosed. Contreras was not harmed.

There is a “No U-turn” sign near where the crash occurred, but authorities are looking at all possibilities, including the motorcycle’s speed and distance traveled from the Ford before the crash.

The case is to be further investigated.
