An Ojai man, 31, died after a fatal motorcycle crash involving a vehicle on Highway 101 on Wednesday morning, August 31, 2022.
The crash transpired at around 10 a.m. on northbound Highway 101 and Salinas Street.
According to the CHP, a 2022 Yamaha motorcycle was driven by a 31-year-old Ojai man. He was moving quickly in and out of traffic lanes.
In the right lane, the motorcycle struck the left rear of a 2022 Honda CRV.
The motorcyclist fell after being thrown from the vehicle to the ground; he was declared dead at the scene.
The use of drugs or alcohol is being looked into, and the crash is still being looked into.
