[09-08-2022] Santa Clara County, CA – A Motorcycle Crash in San Jose Leads to a Fatality

A rider died in a motorcycle crash involving a vehicle on Thursday afternoon, September 8, 2022, in San Jose.

According to CHP Officer Ross Lee, the accident happened around 4:13 p.m. on Interstate 880 northbound to Bascom Avenue southbound.

A man was driving a Harley Davidson when he took the off-ramp.

According to Lee, the rider failed to negotiate the curve and continued straight. After that, he descended an embankment and struck a pickup truck headed north on Bascom.

The motorcyclist was found to have fatal wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Office Coroner will make the motorcyclist’s identity public once it has been verified and his next of kin have been notified.
