[09-10-2022] One Man Killed in Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 680A black Mercedes passenger was killed in a single-vehicle collision on Interstate 680 after the car flipped over a cement barrier early on Saturday morning, September 10, 2022.

The California Highway Patrol received a report around 5:48 a.m. of a collision in the northbound lanes of the highway, directly south of the Bernal Avenue off ramp.

According to Tyler Hahn, a spokesman for CHP’s Dublin division, the vehicle just veered hard to the right for unknown reasons and collided with the cement K-rail, overturning a couple of times.

According to Hahn, the female driver survived with only minor injuries, while the male passenger was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene.

No one was wearing a seatbelt.

The CHP officers blocked off several lanes on I-680, heading north for several hours as they looked into the collision.
