[09-18-2022] Riverside County, CA – 38-Year-Old Marcus A. Killed in a Rollover Accident Ramona Expressway

38-year-old Marcus A. of Moreno Valley was killed after a rollover crash on Ramona expressway near Jacinto on Sunday, September 18, 2022.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 10:30 p.m. on the Ramona Expressway, three-quarters of a mile east of Bridge Street.

According to Officer Javier Navarro, Adkins was traveling in the right front passenger seat of a 2013 Nissan Altima driven by a 37-year-old Moreno Valley woman whose identity was not released.

The driver was heading westbound on the road at an unknown speed when she lost control of the car and drove over eastbound lanes, continuing onto the dirt shoulder, where the Nissan crashed numerous times. As a consequence, the front seat passenger was thrown from the Nissan.

Paramedics from the Riverside County Fire Department arrived quickly and declared Adkins dead at the spot.

The driver was taken to Riverside University Medical Center in Moreno Valley for treatment after suffering moderate injuries.

Navarro stated that drugs or alcohol are not suspected of contributing to the collision.

The accident is to be further investigated.
