Single-Vehicle Crash Statistics

One of the leading causes of death in California is single-vehicle collisions.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, sixty-two percent of fatal accidents in California involve only one car. Due to the high number of hazards on California’s roads, drivers must always be on guard.

Many factors can play a role in single-car collisions. A runaway car or an off-road crash are both possible outcomes of reckless driving on a slippery road. The roadside may have been littered with a tree limb or other large pieces of debris that had washed ashore. That may make things even more dangerous for drivers.

Your ability to recover damages following a single-vehicle accident may be severely limited by the terms of your insurance policy’s coverage plan, even if another driver’s negligence was the cause of the accident.

It is crucial that those responsible for the deaths of several people due to someone else’s carelessness face consequences.
