[02-10-2023] San Diego County, CA – 40-Year-Old Rider Severely Injured After Colliding with Vehicle on State Route 94

A motorcycle crash severely injured a 40-year-old rider in San Diego on Friday night, February 10, 2023.

Authorities reported that the collision transpired around 9:30 p.m. on State Route 94.

According to reports, the 40-year-old man driving a 1999 BMW motorcycle eastbound collided with a 22-year-old man driving a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado westbound.

Due to the impact, the rider was thrown off his bike and landed on the ground.

The motorcycle rider allegedly crossed over the solid double yellow lines and entered westbound land to pass traffic.

As a result of his severe injuries, paramedics were dispatched and transported the victim to Sharp Memorial Hospital.

Meanwhile, the 22-year-old was uninjured and cooperated with law enforcement.

The crash did not appear to be caused by alcohol or drugs.
