A bus collision left a 44-year-old woman with injuries in San Diego on Thursday night, February 16, 2023.
Reports indicated that the crash occurred around 8:30 p.m. at 3900 El Cajon Boulevard in the Normal Heights neighborhood.
According to authorities, the female pedestrian was walking northbound across the westbound lanes when a 66-year-old man was driving an MTS bus westbound on the same street.
It appears that the woman stepped in front of the bus and was struck by it. As a result, she suffered an open fracture in her lower left leg.
Officials do not believe alcohol played a role in the collision, and investigations are currently underway.
