At least two people were injured following a traffic collision involving two vehicles in Madera on Sunday evening, April 02, 2023.
The Madera Police Department reported that the crash occurred just before 6:00 p.m. on North Granada Drive near Greenwood Drive.
Multiple agencies dispatched to the scene learned that one driver sideswiped another while attempting to pass them on the road. This led to one vehicle crashing into a tree.
Both the number of people involved in the crash and their current states are still unknown. But major injuries were reported following the crash.
One individual was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center, while another was transported by ambulance to a medical facility. Neither one of them was identified.
No further information was immediately available as the investigation continued.
