A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run collision in Davis City early Monday morning, April 10, 2023.
According to the Davis Police Department, the crash occurred around 2:30 a.m. near the 1400 block of Olive Drive.
A guy was reportedly lying on the road when the cops arrived. The man was already dead when they found him.
The authorities said their first look at the scene made them think that a car had hit the man and left him on the road.
The authorities are still investigating what happened, but the cops say they found the driver and the car in Sacramento. But as of Monday afternoon, no one had filed charges, and the authorities had not made the driver’s name public.
Police stated that detectives were investigating the circumstances surrounding the pedestrian’s death and were awaiting additional information from the Yolo County Coroner’s Office regarding the cause and manner of his death.
The Coroner’s Office will announce the driver’s name as soon as they notify the pedestrian’s family.
