[04-13-2023] Kern County, CA – 35-year-old Pedestrian Killed After Hit-And-Run Crash in Bakersfield

A 35-year-old pedestrian was killed after a hit-and-run crash in Bakersfield on Thursday evening, April 13, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash occurred around 8:11 p.m. at Blackburn Street along northbound Weedpatch Highway.

The pedestrian reportedly was walking westbound when he was struck by a possibly white Sedan and was left lying on the side of the road.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver was still not apprehended.

The authorities have yet to determine the cause of the fatal crash.
