Eight people sustained minor injuries, and five were hospitalized, after a multi-vehicle collision in Northridge, Los Angeles, on Friday morning, April 14, 2023.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the crash occurred at about 8:25 a.m. at 9600 North Zelzah Avenue at the Northridge Academy High School.
Five people were taken to local hospitals after sustaining non-life-threatening injuries. A total of eight people were reported to have been involved. It’s unclear whether some or all of them were students, as classes resumed this week following spring break.
The responding officers reported there were no entrapments after the collision. They did not disclose any information regarding the cause of the crash and how many vehicles were involved.
No further details were immediately available as the investigation into the crash continued.
